Tyler looked to his friend, smiling at him before nodding and head in the other direction. He was walking through crowds of people, his vibrant green eyes searching with a light of determination. He would find Mercy, she would be here, maybe he could even talk with her. If that happened, well she would make him feel more important than he had in a very long time. He was hoping what she was saying about being different than most rich was true. She caught his attention that day in the forest and he only hoped she was being real about it. She seemed like a women fir for Tyler. Too bad they were on two totally different sides of the totem pole, Mercy was at the top, and Tyler... the rock bottom.
Though he didn't look poor tonight. More and more women seemed to take notice to him, he was single, and walking around by himself, giving women time to come over and talk to him. He was polite, but he could read it in every single one of those girl's faces, they only wanted him for his money.... which he didn't have. So he excused himself from them, continuing on in his search to find Mercy.
Walking toward the back part of the mansion, he heard her voice, so delicate and pretty. He stopped in his tracks, turning his head lightly. His green eyes searching frantically till they rested on her, talking with another man. He was handsome indeed, and Tyler's eyes fell for a moment. Hearing her voice again, he just couldn't help but look up. She was tying to pull away... and a smile crept onto Tyler's face. He looked around, and then cleared his throat before approaching. He figured he'd help her out, she seemed to want to get away from this man. "Mercy, there you are. I have been looking all over for you." he said, taking her hand and kissing it gently. He looked to the other man. "Excuse me Sir, would you mind leaving M'lady alone. I brought her as a date and I plan on leaving here with her as my date." he said, looking the man up and down scornfully. He hoped Mercy would play along, and not make him seem like an idiot. And dear god, he hoped she remembered who he was, or he would really look like a fool.

The moment Mercy heard his voice, her eyes brightened and she turned her head toward him. She was shocked to see him there. The doctor was simply caught off guard, looking between the two of him to see if it was true, observing Mercy who blushed deeply as Tyler kissed her hand. "I'm sorry, I wandered off and couldn't find you, Tyler, darling," Mercy said, trying to hide her smile as she played along with his charade. She held onto his hand, glancing over to the doctor.
"I'm sorry sir," the doctor said, bowing his head politely, though a suspicious look stayed in his eyes. "I had no idea Miss Scarborough was seeing someone. I was under the impression that she was on the market." Ok, Mercy didn't like that. On the market? What was she? Livestock? A piece of meat? "I'm afraid not doctor," she said, a fiery look in her blue eyes. She clasped Tyler's hand. "I bid you good evening sir," she said to him, before turning and pulling Tyler along with her, her ankle obviously fine. Once away from the man, Mercy turned to Tyler. Yes... he had her complete attention. "I must say darling," she said with a wide smile, still playing along, a gleam in her eyes. "You look quite dashing in that suit."

Markos smiled wide, "Well I hope you have caught your breath. We must go dance. It is a party after all." he said, showing his nice white teeth in a huge smile. He wanted to let everyone know she was with him and no other man was allowed to lay a finger on her. He led her back out into the bigger room, letting her out into the light.
Laughing loudly at what she said, Mark had to fight back with what she said, "I feel as though it will be the other way around Tara, I'll be ripping men away from you." he said with a wink. Leading her out farther in the crowds, where more and more people were dancing. Mark turned to her, his hazel eyes gleaming. "Will you dance with me?" he asked, even though he had drug her out onto the dance floor already...

Tara couldn't keep the smile from her face as Mark led her out of the room and through the crowd. She stayed close to him, eyes on him. She was completely smitten. When he asked her to dance, she moved in toward his body. "I suppose so..." she said, her mind practically screaming YES. She held onto his one hand, allowing him to place his other on her waist while she set hers on his shoulder.
"I was afraid you had decided not to come," she said, looking up at him. "Or that you had set your eyes on some other woman." She admitted this with a soft smile on her face, a gleam in her eyes. She wasn't afraid to admit this to him... She wasn't afraid whatsoever to speak to him. There was no way in hell Tara would allow any other woman near Mark. They would have to pry the lovesick girl away from him.

Eric wrapped his arms around her, hands sliding down to grab a hold of her behind, kissing her passionately on the lips. "It doesn't matter if anyone sees us," He said, breathlessly breaking their kiss. He easily lifted her off her feet, carrying her to the bed and dropping her own it to see if she would squeak excitedly. "You should be more worried about if they're going to hear us dear," he said, giving her a wicked smile.
He pulled off his suit jacket, letting it hit the floor without a care in the world. He wasn't sure if she had ever done this before... He was ok if she had... It's not like it did him any harm. Most men didn't think that way though. If she hadn't done it before... well, he would go slow for her, let her take control. "You alright?" he asked her, making sure she was okay with this... as he pulled off his shirt, revealing a nicely chiseled chest...

Laurel did indeed squeak as Eric threw her onto the bed. She grinned wickedly up at him, eager for him to be kissing her again. Her breath caught in her chest as Eric stripped off his shirt. He was stunning. Eyes wide, she watched his every movement. Laurel was smitten all over again.
Once she had regained control of her faculties, Laurel rose to her feet and turned her back to Eric. "Unbutton me," she instructed desperately. The moment the buttons were done away with, Laurel yanked her corset laces open and slid out of the restrictive garment. She stood there then, feeling very exposed in her chemise and drawers. She comforted herself by covering herself with her arms and looking at the floor.
Lastly, she pulled a pin from her hair, sending red curls cascading down her back. "I feel very naked," she confessed, blushing slightly. "I... I confess, I'm not... Experienced in these things." she would have loved to confess to Eric that she had been with another man, but it was so long ago, so heartbreaking... And Eric would surely leave her the moment he realized she was used goods.

Markos gazed at her pretty face as she came to him, she seemed eager, and that made Mark happy. Placing his hand gently on her waist, he pulled her forward still, she was right up against his chest. He smirked at the idea of what was going through her mind, because well... some things were flying around his own. Her lips were so close to his, but he refrained from doing anything. He was a gentlemen and didn't like to force ladies into doing something they wouldn't approve of.
He started moving with her, she knew what she was doing and he didn't have to be careful. The only reason he was graceful and knew what the hell he was doing was because his mother and grandmother shoved him into lesson just a few years ago, they said a good dancer would be able to woo a girl in moments. He hated the idea at the moment, but now he was totally glad he had taken those lessons. He shook his head at her, "Now why would I go seeking for another women when I found a perfect one right here? And I have her under my spell?" he said with another laugh...

Tara blushed deeply at his words, so tempted to just kiss him. But there were so many people around. The last thing she wanted was to bring about a scandal. "How can you tell I'm under your spell?" she asked him, arching a brow. She had to admit, he was a good dancer. She had known how to dance since she was a little girl, her mother having taught her.
She liked how their bodies were pressed together and she was tempted to press herself closer. "You're quite a good dancer, Mark. I have to say, you surprise me with almost every thing you do." She smiled up at him, loving the feel of her hand in his. It took everything she had not to stroke the back of his hand with her thumb like she wanted to. She couldn't resist this man... so maybe she really was under his spell...

Tyler arched a brow at the doctor, giving him a rather dirty look when the man said something about Mercy being on the 'market'. He huffed, keeping his composure since rich men didn't throw punches. Though he wanted to, he just played by the rules, dirty looks, words and glares were the only defense between civil parties. And that was what he had done. He said this loud enough for the doctor to hear, as he turned with Mercy, walking with her. "No wonder the man doesn't have a date. He's looking for a good slab of steak, not a women." he said, staring back at him with his sharp green eyes.
After being pulled away a good distance from the fool, Tyler directed his attention back on Mercy again. His heart was thudding rather loudly, he blushed, almost ashamed of his heart, not like Mercy could hear it. Though if she came any closer, and rested her head on his chest, she would be able to hear it clearly. He took a breath, a nervous smile crowding his face. "As you look like an angel in that dress." he said with a smile. "It doesn't fool me though Mercy, I know the girl you are." He said with a small wink. Everyone else around them was dancing and he rubbed the back of his neck, "Uhhh.. I hope I didn't offend you back there.. I just.. saw you.. wanted to get away from that man." he said with a charming smile...

Mercy had to hold back a laugh at what Tyler said about the doctor. Funny how he had been thinking the same as she had been. Her face went crimson when he said she looked like an angel, but a wicked smile crossed her face when he said he knew the kind of girl she was. "I appreciate your help, Tyler," she said, a genuine smile on her pretty face. "I took no offense whatsoever, don't be so foolish. You saved me from that horrid doctor wanting to check out my fake ankle injury."
She looked around at everyone dancing and she knew she wanted to dance with Tyler. He was there and she could never seem to get him off her mind. "I must say though, my fake ankle injury seems to have miraculously healed itself. So perhaps you wouldn't mind dancing with me? I haven't been able to find another partner to my liking, and since we're apparently on a date, darling..." Yeah, she was never going to let him forget that one. She gave him a gorgeous, almost flirty smile, waiting to see what he would do. Usually the man asked the woman to dance, but Mercy was bold and had asked him herself.

Tyler eyed her pretty smile, he couldn't help but let out a laugh. He arched a brow when she told him about her lie to get away from the doctor. "Nice..." he said simply. He kept himself close to her, letting people around them know she wasn't alone right now, he had her at the moment, and planned on keeping it that way.
Once she said the word dance, his face blushed. He had no idea how to. He looked around, a little more frantic than he meant to. It looked easy to him, but.. well he was nervous he'd look like an idiot infront of her. His green eyes traveled back to Mercy's face. "Ummm... What if I told you I didn't know how to dance." he said, feeling bad. It wasn't am excuse to try and get out of it, hell no! If he could, well he'd grab her and pull her in real close to him. His green eyes held a scared look, "Don't take it the wrong way.." he said feeling bad.
He knew she was going to be upset, and he didn't want to loose her. Just because he was poor, and didn't know how to dance, he had to try a lot harder to earn her respect. He looked at the couple next to them, and then mimicked. He bit his lip, going forward and grabbed her hand, then he pulled her forward... a little more harshly than he meant to, then grabbed her waist. He winced, loosening his grip on her. "Sorry..." he muttered, letting his eyes close. He felt like he was going to hurt the poor thing. "I feel like a fool.." he said, not knowing what else to do afterward...

Mercy didn't mind at all that he did not know how to dance. It wasn't all that surprising really. She couldn't help but squeak a little when he suddenly pulled her in, a little too roughly. "It's alright," she said to him, blushing and breathless. "Just follow me." She would teach him to dance.
"Have I called you a fool yet? No, so don't feel like one." She gave him a pretty smile, gripping his hand and fixing his hand on her waist because it was a little too scandalously low. Not that she minded... but it was still a no no. "Follow my lead and I promise you won't break any bones or anything else for that matter." She started to lead him in their dance, nice and slow and smoothly, making it easy for him to follow along. "By the time I'm done with you, you'll be a pro," she said, smiling.[/blockquote]

Eric couldn't help himself, kissing her neck and shoulders as he unbuttoned her. She was perfect. "It's alright," he said to her gently, kicking off his shoes. The only thing he wore now was his pants and underwear.
Looking down at her, he kissed her lips again, wishing only for her to be comfortable with this. Breaking the kiss, he rested his forehead against hers, removing what garments she had left on her body. He lowered his head, kissing her neck and shoulder, completely taken by her. "Are you sure you're ready for this?" he asked her, believing everything she said about not being experienced. He wanted this to happen, he just wanted to make sure she wanted it too.

Tyler blushed when she put his hand higher up on her waist. "Sorry.." he said once again, feeling like an idiot for grabbing her too low. He gulped, but followed after her, making his steps match her's, but alos being careful not to step on her feet. That would be the worst he could do, that or.. fall.
After awhile, he got what she was doing, and he followed her with ease, smiling easier and now being able to breathe. "Thank you.." He said, liking the fact that she didn't mind teaching him basic movements and steps with dancing. It would come in handy.. well.. sorta.. His green eyes rested on her pretty oceany colored ones. "Your too good at teaching this. Do you teach all poor men how to dance?" he said with a perfect smile spreading across his face...

Mercy found that after a bit of warming up, his movements became more easy and relaxed, making her feel as though she had really accomplished something in teaching him to dance. She looked up at him when he thanked her and she gave him a pretty and very genuine smile. "Just for the poor men that I like," she said to him, making no attempt to hide the fact that she was flirting.
"Not to mention, if you wish to take me to more parties as a date, then you must learn how to dance at some point," she said to him, thoroughly enjoying this. His smile made her heart flutter and she was so tempted to stand on her toes, because he was so much taller than her, and kiss him on the lips. She wanted to seize the kiss she had missed out on that night in the forest. But no... she knew she couldn't. There were people around, so it would be deemed inappropriate.
She had no idea that she and her "date" had deeply angered the doctor. Well, ok, she knew they had ticked him off, but she had no idea that he was seeking out justice. He had gone to speak to one of the officers there... one who happened to know Tyler. He told him about how he suspected some foul play going on with young Miss Scarborough's "date." And so, two officers came, seeking Tyler, the doctor planning on staying near the edges of the scene in case he had to play the role of Mercy's "hero."
While they danced, the two police officers came up to them. "Van Helsing," one of them said, shaking his head. "Lets go, someone's complaining and this isn't a place for a trouble maker like you anyway." Mercy looked over to the cops, ceasing their dancing to give the cops a look. "Excuse me?" she said to them, jumping to Tyler's defense. "Officers, you're interrupting my date. I'd appreciate it if you backed off and gave us some room." There was a bit of an angry look in her pretty eyes. She wasn't going to let them take her date away. No way. Last time she checked, it was her father's house and therefore, she had more of a say over these cops and that stupid, jealous doctor.
