The yellow crescent moon hung in the starry night, only lighting the earth with a faint glow. There was a chill this marvelous spring evening causing the newly flower buds to droop into themselves. A hooded figure could be seen casually walking up to said flowers. This person leaned over wrapping their gloved finger around the stem, as they pulled it up from the earth. Though it was nearly dying the individual brought it up to their nose inhaling the faint scent leaving a smile across a woman’s face. She held it as she continued to walk through the park awaiting for something.
Deidre McCarthy wasn’t really going anywhere in particular. She just wondered the night streets awaiting for some foolish soul to stumble across her. Which was bound to happen, there was always one individual who was stupid to walk alone at night. With her other gloved hand she yanked petals from the tulip leaving a trail behind her. She was rather amused this evening which takes a lot. Her head turned at the sound of footsteps from the distance.
(sorry for it being short, promise the next one will be a lot longer lol)

Another night, another story. Jack was content once again, still feeling like a freak, but he was content. He had fed again last night, it was brutal at first, but Jack learned the basic idea of it, and he did it once again just for more precision. Walking through the park, hands shoved in his pockets, he didn't bother to cover up. It was bad enough to he to lurk around at night like the freak he was, but he surely wasn't going to cover up now. He hated being who he was, the fangs, the blood.. well he liked the blood, but in the sense that he needed it, he craved it. Everything else he craved was gone, lust, warmth, food... gone. All he thought about was blood, the feeling of the warm, metallic red liquid sent him craving it twenty-four/ seven.
Jack wandered into the park., not expecting to find a soul. It was late and who went for a walk at night? Vampires... His ocean colored eyes flashed across the path as he came up 'pon a soul. It was a female, she had a hood, but he could tell from the curves in her body. He ran his tongue over his teeth, but then pulled away, growling slightly to himself. She wasn't worth it, anything involving a female made his drive to bite worse. It also repelled him more, his fiance crossing his mind every time he bit the flesh of a woman. sucking in a breath of air, Jack walked forward, "Why are you out so late? Do you know nothing of safety?" he said in an almost darker tone. He thought of the women as foolish, he was looking out for her safety, but cherishing her carelessness at the same time. He had no idea she was his kind...

Her eyes glistened upon his approach, coming to the realization that he was undead like her. He didn’t even have to speak for her to notice. The first clue was the lack of heart beat, the second would be his skin tone even though it was purely not easy to see because of the night but hey she wasn’t new at this and lastly, he lingered of death unlike humans who had an intriguing smell of life. Another thing that caught her attention was that he hadn’t noticed that she was a vampire. So she came to the conclusion that he was one of the young ones. The corner of her mouth arched up as the woman pushed her hood back revealing her appearance. Those red locks hung loose except for a golden comb that held part of her hair back out of her face. “Why are you out so late? Do you know nothing of safety?" The man asked moments after.
She merely found his comment amusing; a small chuckle erupted from her. “Why sir, why must you worry about little old me?” Deidre spoke sarcastically with an Irish accent. This man was indeed ignorant. Her evening had become better than she had anticipated. She hadn’t been in town long, maybe a week or so. The only other vampire contact she had so far was one. Deidre had been stuck in her home due to weather. She loved spring rain, it remaindered her of home, but she didn’t want to ruin her clothing. Plus people would question seeing a woman in the rain late at night. She still wasn’t use to this place. Deidre tilted her head to the side looking at the man with curious green eyes. “So tell me child, are the humans here tasteful?”
Deidre had yet tried the townsfolk, at home she had been feeding off her servants. Oddly enough they found it satisfying which didn’t bother her one bit. However, Deidre was a huntress. She loved to prey on humans watching them run away from her in fear. It was what vampires liked best. It was a thrill that no vampire could resist even if they didn’t like it. The thirst in all vampires was stronger than, well themselves. Deidre still plaid with the tulip as she waited for the young one’s response.

Jack had stayed put, not moving any closer, he respected a female's 'spacal' issues and he did not want to look tempted to touch her in any way. Oddly, his thirst for blood did not kick in as soon as he smelt her. Infact, she smelt different than most women. It took his off guard for a second, and he watched her pull down her hood, a pretty little smiling planted across her lips. Jack arched a brow when she laughed, and he parted his lips to speak, but held his tongue once he heard her words. “Why sir, why must you worry about little old me?” He tilted his head slightly, his mouth still slightly parted. His eyes narrowed, she didn't look much older than he was, and why was she so.. confident? Even if Jack was human, he would have the upper hand with this women, she could be killed out here, and not a soul would ever know what happened.
He closed his mouth, clicking his teeth together, when she spoke her next words, seeming very pleased with herself as she had fooled a young vampire, “So tell me child, are the humans here tasteful?”
Jack let a small smirk cross his mouth, and he just shook his head. He had only come in contact with one other vampire so far, that being his Sire. He didn't even get a good look at her either, she was off before he could regain his composure. Well this ought to be fun. He walked forward now, hands sliding behind his back as he looked upwards, as if to think. "I wouldn't really know. Any human sounds delightful. I don't travel much, not one for foriegn food."Jack smiled and winked.
He walked a half circle, watching her, taking on the new means of predator. He would not hunt this one, she wouldn't feed him. He almost envied her, seeing that she seemed to enjoy being who she was. His ocean blue eyes stared at her cold face, "You haven't been here long it sounds." He said, realising she had called him a child. He ran his lips over his teeth once more, sighing heavily. "How long have you been..." he said, stopping to think, "A beast?" That was the only word he could think of to explain how he felt about vampires.

This man was rather enchanting, if she wasn’t a vampire she would surely be charmed by his presents. Those sea-blue eyes almost had a glowing affect, making her feel rather calm. No wonder his sir couldn’t resist, he makes an interesting vampire. The young man shook his head as a smile caressed his face. He took a step forward than another until he was rather close not enough that would make a woman feel uncomfortable. “You have much to learn, not all humans are delightful…” She looked off into the distance recalling the time she tasted the blood of a drunken man.
Deidre eyed him as he half circled her, sizing her up. Her smile still stuck to her face. “No, I haven’t I don’t really stick around towns for long.” It was the truth. The longer a vampire stuck in town it caused questions. The humans were not exactly stupid all the time. The words beast came from his mouth. Making her laugh yet again, Dedire had been called far worse but this one she found amusing. It wasn’t like she was an animal, not entirely. At least she was able to control herself to a point. She shook her head gazeing up into his eyes. “It’s not really polite to ask a lady how old she is.” Only playing of course, she heaved a sigh as she gave in. Deidre had to think a moment, it had been years that just seemed lost in time. “Well… let’s see. I believe I’ve walked among the living for three-hundred thirty-nine years.”
Yes, she was a rather new but yet younger vampire. However in this time and age a vampire learns quick. If not you get hunted, by silly little humans who manage to know their weaknesses. To think the cattle attacking the predator rather annoying but yet amusing none the less. Over the years she had seen many vampires staked, ones quite older than her but more so of the young ones. She didn’t know exactly how many vampires lingered out there but it seemed to be increasing a lot these days.

Jack could not help but be induced by her wickedness. It was almost like she was pulling him into her. He circled more, his blue eyes locked onto her green ones. He was closing in on her, keeping a rather defense stance though. A smirk planted on his face though, as he worked himself around her, listening intently on the things she spoke about. He let a shiver travel down his spine as she spoke, it was a lovely tone and he couldn't help but quiver from it. He chuckled, thinking of humans that wouldn't taste very good. He didn't know what was what, and which humans to prey on. All he cared about was blood, he didn't care if it tasted good.
She was obviously older than he was, she seemed more wise with the things she was saying. He debated a long time, thinking about following her around, learning from her. He wasn't dumb, not in anyway. He would pick up things faster than any vampire could. She might not like the whole travel in pairs thing. He arched a brow, she thought a lot of the things he spoke about funny. He only smirked at her, and he stopped circling her, seeing as she wasn't going to attack him just yet. Hearing how old she was, his eyes widened. Another thing learned, vampires lived a long time... if not forever.
He grunted at the thought, but threw it out at her anyway, the least she could do was deny him. "Are you a good mentor?" he asked her, his tone smooth and intoxicating...
