Footprints were seen from the entrance of the beach, all the way down to the water, and then up alongside the water, the waves lapping them up and concealing them, the footprints were long gone after wards. The moon was up high tonight, a pale colored moon, blocked out the a strange cloud now and again.
Aliyah strode down the beach, hiking up her pale blue dress. Her hair was down and curled, her pretty blue eyes crystal clear, reflecting the ocean she looked apon as she walked along. Her chest heaved lightly from running, her silver necklace with a light aqua colored pendent, rose and fell lightly against her chest as she breathed in and out heavily. She wasn't wearing any shoes, they dangled from her fingers as she held her dress with the same hand. The bottom of her dress was getting wet, but who cared? She didn't.
Her smooth pale legs had goosebumps all over them as the dark, cold water washed up lightly against her ankles, causing a small smile to cascade over the girl's face. She walked with grace and dignity, yet a small flare of rebellion was obvious in her steps. She kept her eyes low, afraid to look up, just encase someone was around. Aliyah was a flighty person, especially after her father started to hit her. She still had a mark on her shoulder, the bruise was dark and ugly, but Ali covered it up with the dresses she wore. No one would believe her that her father hit her, they would just assume she was looking for attention.
Her long black curls fell over her left shoulder as she walked along, humming lightly to herself. She wanted to be out and away from her parents, but mostly from her father, he was out drinking and Ali didn't want to get beat tonight. So here she was, breaking the rules once again and going out to the beach at night. She didn't care, it was way better than being stuck at home, dreading the sound sound of the front doors of the mansion opening and her father stumbling up the steps. Ali shivered at the thought, biting her lip and then looking up over the sea....
