((If this is a shitty post, it's cause i feel like I'm dying and have to throw up)) The sun had set just a short time ago in the town of Devil's Hollow, the night sky dark, but clear and every star in the heavens seemingly visible. It was a nice, cool night outside, but not too cold. The Scarboroughs were scattered about the mansion, Christopher in his office, Evelyn in the lounge, sewing and their daughter sitting upon the window seat, looking out the window and just thinking. John Scarborough was... well, he was probably out and about, doing god only knows what.
Mercy sighed, resting her forehead against the window pane. Of course it was a man on her mind and of course that man was Tyler Van Helsing. She adored him and he occupied her mind on a constant basis. She didn't care that he didn't have much money, that didn't matter to her at all. All she knew was, she wanted to be with him. She couldn't be too sure if her father would agree to it, but it was worth a shot... some day, when Mercy had the guts to confront him.
She wanted so badly to sneak out and go to him, but... well, she was scared to death that she would run into that man again. The bite marks on her neck were fading with each day, but they were still there, still visible and constantly reminding her of the dangers out there. She had no idea what had been that freaks deal. What she did know was he intended to see her again, against her wishes.
Mercy let out a sigh, sitting up a little straighter. Young Miss Scarborough was an absolutely gorgeous girl, silky brown curls flowing brilliantly down her back. She wore a gorgeous dark blue dress with black lace trimming, the sleeves down to expose her lovely shoulders. Her stormy, ocean blue eyes took in the night, almost as if they were searching for Tyler... or that man whom she was dreading seeing again. Who knew what he might do to her the next time? The very thought chilled her to the bone and she wished more than ever that she was with Tyler so that he could make her feel better and more at ease...

God, he hated interviews. He hated them so much. As he walked toward the sprawling mansion, he was beginning to have second thoughts that border lined fear. As he finally arrived at the front door, his hand thwacked once or twice on the door. He felt like a bumbling idiot, standing there in showy clothing when he had no money in the world, although by his appearance, most wouldn't guess that. He was so close to turning around and leaving. He could manage before the door even opened, although he was not about to be a coward over something so trivial.
Inevitably, his mind wandered towards Patience. The woman who could make his emotions go haywire before logic could even attempt to take control. He felt embarrassed that he had been changed by a human woman in just a few minutes. Those few minutes would probably change the rest of his eternity, and he would do anything and everything to protect the girl. His eyes closed as his mind continued to wander. To make matters even better, her blood was like electric fire on his taste buds. She was perfect, and he was a monster.

Mercy jumped at the sound of someone at the door, snapping out of her reverie. Her mother only glanced up though, knowing the maid would get it. Mercy heard the maid going for the door and hesitated for a moment, eyes on her mother before she got up and went out into the hall. Staying in the doorway, she watched as the maid opened the door, inviting the stranger in.
Okay, so Mercy had been making sure it wasn't her attacker. She had however been hoping that it might be Tyler... and was somewhat disappointed when it was not. "Come in sir," the maid said, having been informed ahead of time that this guest was expected. "Mr. Scarborough will be with you in a moment." The maid walked off to finish up what she had been doing, offering Mercy a smile as she walked past.
Mercy's eyes took in the man and... well, she didn't want to seem stupid or like a mute for just standing there. "You must be the man my father was speaking of coming in for an interview," she said to him, doing her best not to look uncomfortable. After what had happened with that man biting her, she had become wary of most men who were strangers to her. "I'm Mercy Scarborough..." she said, wondering what this man's name was. Someone had to keep him entertained while he waited for her father.

He flashed the maid a smile. "Merci." He murmured, glancing toward the young woman whom had spoken. "Dimitri Achille Chevalier." He offered, not having been asked to do so. For him, it was common courtesy to get introductions out of the way. He hesitated for a moment before speaking.
"Indeed, that would be me. I don't need the money, but I know somebody who could use it." Of course, by this point, he was going on like an idiot while he still stood rather awkwardly outside of the mansion. Realizing his folly, he quickly stepped over the threshold and into the house. He had never been one for social graces and had a bad habit of zoning out when the conversation went into something that could be considered personal. Either way, he seemed kind enough. Then again, one could never assume based upon appearance alone.
Translation: Thank you.

((Ty might join this later. At least, he better. LOL!)) Mercy smiled politely and nodded her head, even though she didn't ask him at all if he needed the money or not. She couldn't help but think about how much of a strange man he was. At least that's the impression she got. "I'm sorry if my father takes a little longer than expected, he's had quite a busy day, but insisted on not canceling your appointment." When she smiled, it was certainly pretty.
"Why don't you come sit in the lounge, Mr. Chevalier?" she asked him, politely stepping aside so he could walk by. Her mother had already left the lounge to head upstairs so she could retire. "You can wait for my father in there." Mercy was certainly a giving girl and always willing to help, even if it meant entertaining her father's guest while he waited. "Are you hungry? Thirsty? I could have the made get you something." ((Idk where this thread is going just yet. lol! Something has to happen... What if we got Ty to join and for some reason he and Dimitri got into a fight? Cause it's gonna be boring if we continue like this. ))

"No, no. That's quite alright, Miss Scarborough. I filled my needs before coming but thank you anyways for the kind offer." Walking into the lounge, he couldn't help but wince with the change of lighting. His eyes adjusted rather quickly as he took a seat. "Your father must be proud for raising up a young woman such as yourself." He mused, crossing one leg over the other.
"Surely there must be a boy who catches your eye outside of this sprawling estate. With the way you appear, I'm guessing he would be the type of boy your father would highly disapprove of." He chuckled softly. "I talk from experience, not perversion." So the lies began. "Don't be alarmed by the way I speak, m'dear because I have an intérêt de l'amour of my own that I'm having issues with." He admitted to his love for Patience, although he was never necessarily specific.
Translation: love interest

Tyler passed by the mansion while on the bench of his carriage he drove, two drunken rich people laughing loudly in the back. Lucas snorted loudly, pushing on up the small incline of the cobblestone road. Tyler clucked to him, then praising him gently with his voice for making it up the small incline without slowing. For some reason the people in the cab were in an extra hurry to get home. They were both a male and a female, so Tyler assumed there could be only one reason for their drunken rush.
Tyler stopped them in front of the huge mansion, watching them stumble out, shushing each other for some reason. Arching a brow, Tyler's green eyes stared down at the man, "Are you just going to stand around? I have people to pick up, and money to make." he said in a rather annoyed tone. The drunk shot him the finger, elbowing his friend and then laughing. The women next to him, stumbled slightly as she was elbowed, but laughed too. "Here... Bloody bastard." He said, reaching up and giving Tyler money from his pocket. Tyler took it, shoved it in his own pocket and then whipped the reins, "Get on." Tyler called, watching Lucas hop forward and then go up the road at a bouncy trot.
Making a big u-turn, Tyler did it just to pass the mansion again. The Scarborough's mansion. Tyler couldn't help but day dream about Mercy all the time, they were seeing each other quite a lot now, and he wanted to see her more. It was hard with him working, and with her at school... oh and the fact that no one knew about it. It would be considered wrong for Mercy to show interest in him. He did not care one bit, anyone who said that wasn't anyone he could care about.
Passing by the mansion, he saw a glimpse of his lover through the window, and his heart leaped into his throat. A smile passed his lips and he stared at the window, then looking forward, a questionable look on his face. "Whoa.." he suddenly called, and the huge black Percheron slowed quickly, and Tyler pulled the carriage over off the cobblestone drive. He hopped down, jogging up to Lucas' face, "You stay and rest for a minute Lue." he said, patting the horse's neck. Lucas snorted and bobbed his head, almost as if in agreement.
Tyler walked up the drive, not exactly knowing what the fuck he was doing. When he reached the door, two guards stared him down, and Tyler had to come up with an explanation as to why he was standing on the porch of the rich person's mansion. "I am here to pick up a certain lady." he said, pointing to his carriage. "She is attending a ladies night around the block." he said, seeming professional about it. The guards actually let him in, and Tyler shook his head after they closed the doors. The place was gigantic, and he stopped for a moment. Where had he thought he saw her? The image popped into his head and he jogged to the room.
He knocked first as he approached it, then letting the door open slightly. "Miss. Scarborough?" he asked, letting his head slip into the door. She must think he was crazy, but that was ok. His face went from a bright smile to a scowl as he turned to see another man standing in the room, alone with Mercy. He quickly turned defensive. His vibrant green eyes staring down the man. "I thought I would visit you Mercy. But it seems you already have a visitor, am I bothering you two?" he asked with a more of a dull tone....

Mercy sat politely across from Dimitri, placing her hands in her lap. She looked like a perfectly respectable woman sitting there and couldn't help but smile a little when Dimitri said her father must be proud. "I can't be too sure about that, sir," she said, though it was true. Mercy was Christopher Scarborough's little girl, his pride and joy. "There is in fact someone," she said, glancing around to make sure neither of her parents were about. She arched a brow at him, wondering how he could be so... dead on. She had been about to say something else, ask him of his own love interest when she heard the door open an all too familiar voice call to her.
"Tyler!" she said, getting to her feet, shocked to see him. She wasn't at all disappointed though. She loved just the sight of him. Her cheeks flushed however when he seemed to get the wrong impression from her father's guest. Her pretty blue eyes went to Dimitri and then back. "Mr. Chevalier, this is Tyler Van Helsing," she said to him, trying to ease the tension in the air. The last thing she wanted was for Tyler to feel threatened by this man that she held no interest in whatsoever. Of course she wanted Tyler to stay, there was no reason for him to go... well, okay, her father might find it odd having a random, lower class man in their lounge, but... Mercy wouldn't want him to leave.
