personality: Celeste is almost always solemn and calm. Her anger never flares but when it does it’s terrible. She’s a very intimidating woman, to humans it’s mainly due to her beauty. For vampires it’s her age, making her faster and stronger than most. She is very sly and cunning. She can usually manipulate anyone into doing her will. When you first meet she acts kind but still serene. But if you venture to far into her life you might never get out. Since she is upper class and extremely wealthy, she is very persuasive in things. Even the most famous politicians, businessmen, etc. in the city respect her high place.
She has a angelic laugh and her smile could lift the spirits of even the coldest of hearts. But her smiles usually turn out to be tricky smirks that ensnare you before you can get away. A strange thing is that she isn’t selfish. She loathes girls that think that they can have everything and they get angry when they can’t.

yeah, who are you? yeah, who are you?
history:Celeste was born on a sunny, breezy April day. Her life was perfect, her mother and father were loving and caring and she was the only child. Her childhood was everything that a girl would want. But she had a secret. Her father was an ill man. An 'unclean man'. He had been sick for as long as she could remember and she remember her mother saying that sunlight would only make his illness worse. Celeste was never allowed to see him except for special occasions. Two of the strangest things of all were that she caught her mother smuggling a glass filled with a blood red liquid. She said it was just wine to ease his pain but Celeste was still suspicious. The other thing was that everytime she saw him, it didn't appear as if he had aged at all. She slowly forgot about it and besides that her life was fantastic. Until she turned eleven.
On December 1, 1361 a twin girls were born. They were her mother’s pride and joy. Celeste was slowly pushed away by her mother and sisters. Her father, Dimitri, stood by her though, he favored Celeste the most because she was like him. She didn’t care what others thought about her, she just did things, and if someone didn’t like it, then they had to get over it. Her father taught her everything, he taught her to read and to write, how to dance and how to hold a shoot a bow. He taught her everything about the night as well. He showed her how to see in the night and how to run without making a sound. He only taught her these things at night though, never in the day. Little did she know that he was training her to become a vampire, like him.
But, of course, secrets had to come sooner or later. On her fourteenth birthday Celeste accidentally pushed her father into the sunlight. His face burned terribly and he ran to his room, covering his face. All of her friends were appalled and they were quickly sent home that night. Later, after everyone had gone, she cornered him, demanding to know what was wrong with him. Reluctantly, Dimitri told her but he made her swear not to tell a soul. And she didn’t. Celeste was proud of the secret, proud to be the only one to know it and proud to have a vampire as her father.
Celeste began to grow more and more like her father. Sly, cunning, and tricky. When she was of age she quickly drew in men like a spider draws in prey. Once they were in her trap, they couldn’t escape. She would lead them to the forest then vanish in the shadows and her father would kill them once she was away.
But when she turned fifteen, her life went downhill. Her mother was accused of being a witch for some unknown reason. Her sisters as well. All three were burned at the stake. Finally, the council turned to her. She knew that they would accuse her and so she and her father fled. They ran for days, not caring where they were going.
At last they came to a small town. They lived there, staying in the shadows until Celeste was eighteen and a day away from being nineteen. Celeste begged her father to change her, she didn’t want to grow old and die. Willingly, he gave in. The day she turned nineteen was the day a new vampire war born.
Her father taught her how to satisfy her thirst by drinking human blood. They lived together, a happy vampire family for centuries.
But dreams do have to end. One night a mob suspected Celeste and her father of witchcraft. They fled, again. They went for days on end without blood and they sailed across the sea as refugees. When they arrived at America they had a feast. They found a village called Devil's Hollow and they decided to settle there.
Celeste’s father hired construction workers and they built Venacia Manor. Celeste and her father lived there for a year until Dimitri vanished. She waited for weeks for him to return but finally she decided that he wasn’t coming back. She hated him after that. She had all the doors in the manor removed as well as the windows and new ones built so that he could not enter without being invited.
She grew cold and would kill at least five people a day but soon people start to notice the mysterious disappearances and she was forced to stop.
She felt guilty, only slightly, but it was enough for her to withdraw from the town. Eventually, the house was boarded up and people knew it as the Haunted Venacia Manor. But all the while, Celeste lived in the house. People claimed to hear a girl singing inside or crying. Wouldn't they have been surprised if they found out that those weren't hallucinations?
Centuries passed and the Victorian era was upon her. She pretended to come to the town seeking a home. She told the people that she was a descendant of the Venacia's and, being humans, they believed her. They cleaned the house and Celeste hired a maid, who happened to be a new vampire that Celeste had created.
She only comes out on cloudy days. She says that her skin gets sunburnt if she stays out long. Which is actually true. People think her an ordinary woman and they visit her all the time. And when someone notices her not aging. That person's life has come to an end. To this day she lives in Devil’s Hollow, hoping that maybe, one day, her father will return.K E E P Y O U I N T H E D A R K

rp sample:Celeste Vyne glided up the spiral staircase, her dress swooshing behind her on the creaking, wooden steps. The tips of her slippers peeked in and out of view under the dark, midnight blue of her dress. She paused as she reached a arched door at the landing. Looking behind her, as if to make sure no one was following, she gently pushed the door open. A gust of wintry air rustled her skirts and she shivered violently.
She stepped inside the room and shut the thick door behind her. She looked out through the small rectangular windows and gazed down upon the large city below her. The afternoon sun sank behind the trees far in the distance and the air became even more frigid.
She lifted the thick cloak that was draped over her arm and slipped it on. The velvet engulfed her body and her shivering slightly subsided. She crossed her arms in front of her and leaned against the cold bricks, letting a stray piece of hair free itself from her bun.. Laughter drifted up from a nearby couple, apparently just leaving her uncle's annual Winter Ball.
Celeste has only just escaped the forced smiles and the juicy yet terrible gossip that Madam Rosalie never failed to obtain. She despised being the niece of the great Lord Bennett. She groaned at just the thought of the man. He wasn't a unfair man, he merely was raised as an only child, spoiled and bratty. It wasn't his fault, but that gave him no excuse to treat her the way he did.
Her parents had passed away long ago and so she had moved in with her uncle. Her mother had died at Celeste’s birth and her father had gone to war and had never returned. Her younger sister adored the marvelous balls and the most fashionable dresses from Eatheston.
Celeste was the exact opposite. She wanted to live on a farm, far out into the country, where deer and wolves roamed and where the smells of tulips would fill one’s nostrils every morning. She wanted to cook her own food, hear the sausage pop and sizzle. She wished to go about her routine only in her undergarments and a robe.
She could feel her neck grow hot with the thought of only wearing her undergarments. She gave a short, angelic laugh that carried down to the elderly gentleman walking below. He looked up curiously and then shrugged, continuing his soft whistling.
White flakes of snow began to fall to the ground, a few of them catching on her eyelashes and hair. She unclasped her hair and let it fall in dark waves around her. She closed her eyes and smiled, finally relaxing after the constant nagging of her wretched uncle.
She was disturbed by the distant calls of her maid. She sighed and reluctantly stood, straightening her skirts. She took one last look over the city and then began her descent down the staircase.
Little did she know that that was the last time she would ever see her beloved city again.
