The year is 1889 and Carnivàle has been travelling the length and breadth of North America for the better part of 50 years. Times have changed and what was once a humble faire has turned into a travelling circus filled with side show freaks, animal shows and performers from fire and sword swallowers to acrobats and magicians.
But the Carnivàle has a darker side that very few of the patrons see. It turns out that a travelling circus is the best place to hide if you’re not human. Within the staff of this band of unique individuals lurk vampires, werewolves and shape shifters as well as humans.
