Simon is pretty laid back for a vampire and he's not like most others either. He's more caring, though he doesn't usually show it. He's the type that only kills if he has to. He has a pretty good sense of humor and it's very hard to get a rise out of him as he is so calm, cool and collected

history:

Simon was born in New York... a long time ago. He was born into a wealthy family, he and his younger brother being the only children. They lived an excellent life in New York... until their father died that is. That's when things started to change.

He was seventeen at the time and, being the man of the house, it was his job to take care of the family. He did a fine job with it too and took up his father's spot in the business. Simon and his brother were always close and after the death of their father, Simon swore he would take care of his brother and make sure he became something great. Caleb could have been a Saint, drawn to the life of a priest and Simon planned on getting him there.

But then, it happened. Simon was offered immortality. Being one who feared death, Simon could not help himself. It was too tempting. All he had to do was hand over his family's home in New York. So... he did. And in return, he was cursed. He found himself shying away from the sunlight. He lived a nocturnal night from then on.

Of course his brother noticed. How couldn't he? So, he confronted Simon, telling him he wished for him to be seen by a priest, but Simon refused. The two fought bitterly and so, Caleb left. He did not make it very far though, for he fell down the steps, breaking his neck. Simon blamed himself for this.. and so did everyone else. Unable to bare the accusing looks, especially from his mother, Simon left and didn't go back to New York until the day his mother died, still young and forever unchanging.
